The NetIrrigate® Telemetry Box

POWER REQUIREMENTS

The NetIrrigate® Telemetry Box can be powered by either an AC or DC source. Each Telemetry Box includes a built-in AC adapter that accepts a 90 to 240 VAC. If an AC power source is not available, the Net Irrigate Telemetry Box can be supplied with 12 Volts DC. (400 mA average current 800 mA. peak)

An internal backup battery is included in all NetIrrigate® Telemetry Boxes. In the event the primary source of power fails, a voice, text message, or e-mail alert can be configured for notification. The internal backup battery will supply about 60 minutes of power and is continually charged by the primary power source.

INPUTS
  • Two 5kHz high speed pulse inputs. Ideal for a flow meter, a chemigation meter, or a digital rain gauge.
  • One auxiliary input for monitoring the primary AC power source (if used). When the primary AC power source fails, an alert will be sent if one is configured on netirrigate.com.
  • One auxiliary input for monitoring the primary DC power source (if used). When the primary DC power source falls below 12 volts, an alert will be sent if one is configured on netirrigate.com.
  • One auxiliary input for monitoring the SafetyReturn circuit on a center pivot irrigation system. When a safety stop is encountered on your pivot, an alert will be sent if configured on netirrigate.com.
  • One normally open 120VAC discreet input which can be used for any monitoring purpose deemed appropriate by the end user. When the state of the input changes from open to closed, an alert will be sent if one is configured on netirrigate.com.
  • One normally open 12VDC discreet input which can be used for any monitoring purpose deemed appropriate by the end user. When the state of the input changes from open to closed, an alert will be sent if one is configured on netirrigate.com.

OUTPUTS
  • One 10 AMP relay with normally open and normally closed terminals ideal for remotely shutting down pumps equipped with a starter. When an incoming wireless signal is received, the relay coil remains energized for 10 seconds, and then automatically resets.
  • One 10 AMP relay with normally open and normally closed terminals that is completely controlled by wireless signals. Wireless signals either energize or de-energize the relay coil.

OPTION MODULES

The NetIrrigate® GPS Module is used for tracking the distribution of water over particular regions of a field irrigated by a center pivot. If multiple crops are planted under the pivot, the module can determine how much water each crop received.

NetIrrigate® DripTracker™ is used for measuring the distribution of water to each zone within a field irrigated by subsurface drip methods.
